Workplace Injury (WSIB) Program

At Wei’s Nature Health Clinic, we have a program designed specifically for those who have been injured at work. We have the expertise to rehabilitate a wide range of workplace injuries, from common back and shoulder conditions to task-specific joint, muscle, ligament, tendon, and bone injuries.

We use a combination of physiotherapy, chiropractic, athletic therapy, massage therapy, naturopathic care and acupuncture therapy to aid in your recovery, as needed for your specific case. We strive to provide a seamless transition through the various phases of rehabilitation, right up to the patient’s return to the workplace and beyond, when necessary. Also, we take your rehabilitation one step further to help prevent further workplace injuries by identifying areas of muscular weakness and strengthening those areas to the point needed to get you through the workday pain-free.

Our expanded opening hours allow you to do bookings around your current work schedule if you are still at work.  If you have suffered a ‘Lost Time’ injury and are no longer working at your regular duties or are working at on ‘Modified Duties’, our work place rehabilitation program will work with you to treat your current condition, return you to your normal level of function without pain and prevent this injury from re-occurring.  Your safe return to work is our goal.

If you have suffered a work related injury, you and your employer are required to contact WSIB and report the injury and file a claim.  Once your claim has been approved, you will be given a claim number and your treatment can commence.  We complete and submit all necessary insurance forms on your behalf, and we bill your insurance company directly.

What I should do with my WSIB rehabilitation claim?
  • Inform your employer of your workplace injury. WSIB is responsible for making health and rehabilitation services available to you.  Once you have a health claim initiated with WSIB, we will take care of the rest.
  • Call us to book an initial assessment. In the assessment session, your Registered Physiotherapist will examine your workplace related injuries, discuss with you about the treatment plan, begin therapy, and collect all the necessary information to fill out and submit a WSIB rehabilitation insurance claim on your behalf.  If you have extended health insurance coverage you are legally required to exhaust these benefits first, and then the rest of your therapy cost will be covered by WSIB.
  • Come to our clinic for follow-up treatment sessions. Follow-up appointments will be booked to fit your schedule.  These appointments will incorporate a wide range of therapeutic modalities as appropriate.
  • Focus on getting better.  We will work on your behalf to manage all reporting and documentation required to continue your claim, and to ensure that you get the necessary treatment you need.
